Extension Lead Testing and Tagging

If you require your extension lead test and tagged, South Coast Electrical Solutions will conduct a visual inspection of the insulation of the lead, we look for abrasions as well as checking the pins and plug end. Tests which are performed include earth continuity, insulation resistance and Polarity. If an extension lead is faulty. If the extension leads plug is damaged or the cables are exposed, our technician can replace the plug on the extension lead and retest and tag the lead. A compliant extension lead is critically important when on site as this can pose an electrical hazard to both the operator and bystanders.
